We made hats out of paper mache We were looking at how the paper began soft and flimsy and became solid as we added layers.

WALT identify and use onomatopoeia in our writing

I found onomatopoeia easy because I have lots of onomatopoeia words in my mind. I want to work on using it in a sentence carefully.

I found measuring easy because I could use the blocks to help me. I want to work on more measurement in mm and cms.

I am learning to summarise information in non-fiction texts.

I found summarising a bit hard because I only had enough time to find a little bit of information. I need to work on finding information faster.

I found 3D shapes a bit tricky because I didn't know what a plane shape was. I need to work on finding out what a plane shape is.

I went to Te Tuhi and did a self portrait. I felt happy.

I am learning to write a haiku poem. I am working on using interesting words in my poem like adjectives to make my writing more exciting.

I can solve times tables problems using counters and repeat addition. I am learning my timestables so I can solve these problems quickly.

I can use the contents page to find information. I am working on finding information in the text.

I am learning to kick in a streamline

I am learning to count on and back from the biggest number.

I knew that 57 was the biggest number. I used the hundreds board to count on 12 places. I got 67.
